The Mbeere (or Ambeere) are a Bantu ethnic group numbering roughly 195,000–660,000 people inhabiting the semi-arid lower eastern slopes of Mt. Kenya in Embu County, Kenya. Closely related to the Embu, Kikuyu, and Kamba, they are predominantly farmers growing millet, maize, and fruits, alongside keeping livestock. They speak Kīmbeere, a language similar to Kiembu.
